"Siklosi-var" is a Hungarian stamp issued in 1960 for the castle in the town of Siklos.

My research has been published in a variety of international journals and I have been a consultant to several institutions and central banks around the world.  I have also been a visiting lecturer at universities in Europe and North America, Australia, and New Zealand. My research has been funded by domestic (e.g., Social Science and Humanities Research Council) and international agencies (e.g., Humboldt Foundation, National Research Foundation (South Africa)). In 1999 I was Erskine Fellow at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and in 2009 I was William Evans Fellow at the University of Otago, New Zealand. I was Wilfrid Laurier University's University Research Professor in 2000-2001, and Director of the Viessmann European Research Centre from 2005 to 2014.  In January 2008, I was named to the C.D. Howe Institute's Monetary Policy Council. I am also a Research Fellow at the C.D. Howe. In 2008-9 I was chair holder of the Bundesbank Foundation of International Monetary Economics at the Freie Universitat, Berlin. In December 2008 I became a Senior Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). In September 2009 I was appointed to two three year terms as a member of the Czech National Bank's Research Advisory Committee. In 2015, I was a National Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. I am also a research associate at the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis, Australian National University. In 2017 I was appointed as a Research Fellow at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. I am also a Guest Professor at the Westfälisches Wilhelms-Universität, Münster, Germany.
